Hamburger Hot Pot (IQ-Inexpensive & Quick)

A very simple and quick one pot meal, but tasty and will all be eaten.  If you don't have time to cook much or are on a budget, you will surely like this meal.

Serves 4

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 lb ground beef (doesn't have to be exact)
  • 1 tsp dried chopped onion, or 1/2 small onion chopped
  • 1/2 lb uncooked macaroni
  • 2 cans cream of tomato soup
  • 1 can corn, drained
  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions:

  1. Cook macaroni noodles in a medium-large pot according to the directions, drain.  Return noodles to pot and set aside.
  2. In hot frying pan, cook ground beef and onion, breaking up the meat often with a spatula until the beef is no longer pink.  Drain the fat into a bowl for disposal.  (Never drain fat into your sink because it will clog it over time).
  3. In macaroni pot, add drained meat, cream of tomato soup and drained corn.  Mix and taste.  Add salt and pepper to taste.  Serve immediately.
Tips:
  • You may substitute ground turkey or chicken instead of beef.
  • Use more or less meat to your liking.
  • Use any type of noodles you have in your cabinet, it will taste the same.
  • If you don't like onions, you can omit this ingredient. Just be sure to add salt and pepper to the meat and/or garlic powder.
  • You could add cheese to make it even more delicious.
  • If it's not hot, warm up to desired temp on low heat.
  • Serves great with a simple salad and/or garlic bread.
