Easy Beef Stroganoff

 INGREDIENTS

1 lb ground beef or turkey
1 T dried onion flakes
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1 lb egg noodles
2 C water
2 packets brown gravy
1 C sour cream

DIRECTIONS

Prepare noodles according to package directions and return to pot.  In large pan, cook ground beef with dried onions, salt & pepper.  Drain any excess fat and discard.  Return beef to pan and add 1 1/2 cups water.  In a mixing cup, add the remaining 1/2 C cold water and whisk in brown gravy, until creamy.  Pour brown gravy mixture into pan when it begins to low boil, whisking constantly.  Once gravy is thick, stir in sour cream until incorporated.  Turn off and remove from heat.  Stir sauce into noodles.  Serve hot.  The longer it sits, the thicker it will become.
